If you have Netflix (by semisweet)
I have a couple suggestions
1. Shameless-It's a comedy (originally British) , but deals with all kinds of real life issues. It's really about a very dysfunctional family that's barely getting by. The show is insane. Lots of sex(Yay)...not AT ALL for children.
2. The OA- This one is a sci-fi drama. I really can't say much because there are so many weird quirks and twists. Basically a girl comes back home after having been abducted and gone for 7 years (or 8?). Anyways, she was blind when she was kidnapped and she isn't when she returns. The plot is crazy. The ending is even crazier. I sat there after it was all over just trying to understand what I just watched. It was awesome.
Seen anything you'd recommend?

@semisweet: the OA is pretty good, i also watched sense8 its a pretty crazy show too very original
@Johnbadwolf: ohhh I'll have to check out sense8. Thanks! I also want to check out Black Mirror.
Black mirror is pretty cool too, also if you like this kind of thing the Sherlock Holmes is very good,
I haven't found a series yet. But I did watch that Trolls animated movie.. freaking hilarious
@semisweet: Have you watched 13 Reasons Why? It's a good series, quite emotional. But sense you are in the teaching field it might be a good one to watch. I think everyone should watch it, it stuck with me that much.
@Critter1211: I haven't watch it yet. I was planning on it because last year my students were obsessed with it! I'm gonna add it to my watch list now that you mention it .
