Everyone should know about the old TV show called " the little rascals " that kind of inspired the joke......

The rascals are in school & are having a spelling bee. This is how things played out....

Teacher: alfalfa.....can you spell dictate?

Alfalfa: D.......I.......C.......K

Teacher: no, no......that's wrong! Spanky.....can you spell dictate?

Spanky: D........I.....C.....K

Teacher: no, no, no!!! That's totally wrong! You boys should be ashamed of yourselves! Buckwheat......can you spell dictate for us??

Buckwheat: D..........C.....T.....A.....T.....E!

Teacher: very good! Can you use that in a sentence?

Buckwheat: Darla......how my dictate last night?
