I can tell you why i prefer to text instead of talk but i speak for myself not everyone. I am a very shy girl until i get to know the person, i get nervous and dont know what to say. On the other hand beacause in less nervous txtng i am a lot more wittier and say things that i wldnt say aloud wich cld in turn lead someone to believe that im someone im not lol so idk thats my opinion

I have many experiences with things like that. Many times the person has eventually stopped texting me back. But there are some that have continued on as just text friends. I would suggest not to get deeply involved with someone you haven't gotten to know for awhile. Just don't fall too fast. I've made that mistake often.
