Inbox Errors (by rayminton49)
@ervinman: same thing for me man. I have to log off and back on to see updates and messages and when i delete the message and go back its still there
This has happened since i started. Plus my forums dont refresh correctly and when i click delete and click on home it still says you've mail
I never have new messages. Whats up with that?!?
i still have the problem just now i've recived 2 emails identical and after that tryied to hit datinbox and sent me to forum on the thread 'turn ons'
I have a message in my inbox right now Andres that keeps coming up "you've got mail" and when I click it is same message from some guy named Jimba...have read this message numerous times and then used the 'go back' option but it still comes up unread. Checked the inbox and it only shows up as sent only once....
I see that the message is marked as "read" (by you) in the Database and that your last inbox id that you saw is greater than the inbox id of that message, meaning you should not be seeing the "You've got mail!" message either.
This only leads me to one conclusion: your browser is caching the pages.
This means that it's not actually pulling the info from the site and database, it's re-displaying you what it saw moments ago, which was a page with an unread message and another page with a "You've got mail!" alert.
What browser are you using? Also, next time this happens, can you please do a quick test and clear the cache in your browser and see if that resolves the issue? If it does, then we've at least isolated the issue to the browser cache, and then I can look at a specific solution.
