Why am I getting shafted ever since my wife started her new job and made friends with another girl who constantly discusses how she wants a divorce her own husband?
I?ve known my wife 16 yrs (34 m) and we?ve been married for 5 with a 2 year old. Wife is a bartender and started a new job a few months ago and clings to this girl she works with who constantly talks about how she is on the verge of getting divorced. Ever since, she has been nasty to me if she even talks to me at all. Many nights she doesn?t get home until 4:30 - 6:30 AM (bars close at midnight here and let some patrons stay until 2). I have tried to ask what the problem is without being pushy. Other than that, I haven?t done anything outside of my norm other than making occasional extra efforts to test and see if any edges are softened, but with no results. I hate that I?m making the comparison, but it seems just like in high school when a girl breaks up with a guy just because her friend is doing it. It does make me angry, but I have no desire to be ?aggressive? about the situation. I want things to be at least ok again as the next step, but I feel pushback on it. Any ideas? Questions are welcome.
