Has anyone ever had to deal with their friend getting an obnoxiously woke girlfriend? How did it go?
I?ll just preface this by saying I?m left wing and pretty open minded so this isn?t some anti-SJW thing but I have a good friend (of colour) who start dating this upper middle class white girl who is just obnoxiously woke. The kind that would find it offensive if you said hey guys to a group of men and women cause it?s heteronormative. She doesn?t like me or my sense of humour and my friend has changed because of her. The thing is I use to feel like I could have nuanced conversations with my friend but now I feel like I?m being judged through his girlfriends filter. He won?t saying anything like her just go quiet if I bring up certain filmmakers or topics. Anyone ever been in a situation like this?
