Ideas for a small getaway (by Critter1211)
Nothing fancy and nothing expensive. I'd just like to go on a small getaway next year. Any suggestions?

@Critter1211: abot yur getaway you can plan for a safari..you naw travel if it will be convinient enuf for you.
Vegas is fun if you travel during the week. You can avoid the crowds and the pick pockets. Safari's are great, but in the last seven years they are notoriously known for robbing the travelers. An off season cruse is the best bet, and you can choose where you want to go, and for how long. If you are into driving, route 66 has the best sites to see, fabulous restaurants, and tons of B&B places to stay...some are even haunted!

@Critter1211: my family usually goes to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge once a year. It can be ok.

A beach trip can be affordable... if planned well and ahead of time.
