Do Away With "New Posts"? (by MrWalkSoftly)

The section, not the actual new posts lol.
Ive noticed that when entering the forums from another part of the site, a user is taken to "new posts".
And there are usually very few of them. On occasion, one even gets a "there are no new posts" message. It makes....for lack of a better phrase...the site look 'less busy' and may turn away newer posters.
Keep in mind that the "New Posts" shows new posts since you last checked, so active Forum users who check the Forums frequently will see less results than a new user or users who don't check the Forums frequently. For example, if one hasn't checked the Forums in 24 hours, then "Today's Posts" and "New Posts" should produce similar results.

If at all possible, use "Today's Posts" as sort of a default instead.
If only to make the forums look more active.
It could be a temporary thing until the site picks up.
Done.

P.S. Moved to "Make a Suggestion". Thanks for the suggestion.
*Thumbs up!
