Obama to propose tax hike in State of the Union Address (by WalkSoftly)

"" Right before his State of the Union address
to a Republican controlled Congress,
President Obama has thrown down a tax
gauntlet, proposing $320 billion in tax
hikes. His signature ideas would make
community college free, and would extend
sick leave to working families. But his
massive batch of tax hikes is unlikely to be
met with applause, even though he has
cleverly invoked Ronald Reagan’s name to
sell yet another big capital gains rate hike.""

Make no mistake.....he knows a Republican House and Senate will never pass it. Its only politics....setting up an "us vs them" mentality for the 2016 Dem presidential nominee......."Those mean ol repubs hate poor people" yada yada yada.....Its meant to mobilize low information voters and thats all its for.

It is sad & frustrating as hell! To think how many ppl will believe it. We are not like Sweden, in government or mindset or economy.

@WalkSoftly: I read your posts about that. Just awlful!
A similar situation with my youngest sister: A stomach flu, that had her loosing too much fluid too fast. She made it down from the second floor to the kitchen, looked at me & said " help me, I may die" & passed out. We took her to the ER, they gave her fluids, I begged them to keep her. NOPE. We went outside, she passed our in the parking lot. Took her in again, same thing, fluids & released her. She passed out again (third time). This time we could not get her up. A cop, in the parking lot heard me screaming & came & carried her back in.
Again with more fluids, but for hours they monitored her, this time because myself & the cop were p*ssed off.

@Zilya777: Oh yea....I pitched a fit and got supposedly 2 more days out of her stay....nope, the next day they said thats it....shes gotta go. So....Im camped out at her house now...for probably a week or more....helping her to a walker, into bed, outta bed, bathing, helping her to the bathroom, etc.....Thankfully, physical rehab from home health starts tomorrow....but only an hour a day, 2 days a week.

Oh....and more "good" news on the Obamacare front....

"" Those Americans who didn’t get
health insurance last year could be in
for a rude awakening when the IRS
asks them to fork over their
Obamacare penalty — and it could be
a lot more than the $95 many of
them may be expecting.
The Affordable Care Act requires
those who didn’t have insurance last
year and didn’t qualify for one of the
exemptions to pay a tax penalty,
which was widely cited as $95 the
first year. But the $95 is actually a
minimum, and middle- and upper-
income families will actually end up
paying 1 percent of their household
income as their penalty.
“People would hear the $95, quit
listening, and make an assumption
that that was what their penalty was
going to be,” said Chuck Lovelace,
vice president of affordable care for
Liberty Tax Service. “I think that a lot
of people will be surprised when they
get in there and find out that their
penalty is [based] on their household
income.”
The penalty is designed to prod
Americans to buy insurance and the
penalty for not having it is scheduled
to rise considerably: to a $325
minimum or 2 percent of income in
2015, and to a $695 minimum or 2.5
percent of income in 2016.

Our govt "prodding" its citizens.....Im sure our forefathers are SO proud......Prepare thy anus America.

@WalkSoftly: Sadly in many cases, it is "he who screams the loudest". God knows, my mom couldn't have carried on like I did. Her generation & background has people like doctors on a pedestal. She stood there with silent tears running down her face.
Where as, I seen incompence & dollar signs & bureaucracy & bull*****t!
