Faith and fun, worlds apart? (by james85)

Are religious faith and a love of fun always going to be worlds apart? Do you have to give up pleasure seeking if you're aiming for a better life in the afterlife? Or is it possible to combine the two without treading on the toes of organised religions?

Thought this would be an interesting question to ask here is my personal answer:
I honestly don't think they are, I have fun at my church, cause its lively ,but I also have fun outside of church with chatting to my friends here, my video games, things like that

I find that I have the most fun when I am with my church. Charity, prayer vigils, R.C.I.A class, and of coarse Mass. The people are so warm, welcoming, and loving, that I often dont want to leave at the end. Fun for me use to be doing drugs, casual sex, etc. But now those things seem completely foreign to me. My church is my life and I wouldnt have it any other way :)

Me... I have fun and faith. Then again, I don't exactly follow all the rules of religion. But, the Lord knows my heart.

@james85: I don't have a religion. But I do have fun! I have my own philosophy that I live by.
