@4everteh1: Just remember that ssi is federal gov controled benefit.Fed gov wont just hand benefits over,please double check your new friends status.

Sometimes the don't have case worker. But your right ssi is usually cant be touched or anything taken out of it. If seem unable to take care of him self the have payee that helps. he need look into to if he has either of these case worker or payee.
