A couple of Hero Dogs (by WalkSoftly)

"" A pit bull named Ace is being hailed as a
hero today after rescuing a 13-year-old boy
from a house fire in Indiana.
Nick Lamb was born deaf but has cochlear
implants. He was home alone and sleeping
without his hearing aids when the fire began
on Wednesday night. That’s when his pal,
Ace, jumped into action to save his life.
Nick Lamb, 13, was born without the
ability to hear, so the smoke alarms
couldn’t wake him up, but his two-
and-a-half year old pit bull Ace did.
This isn’t just a story about the bond
between a boy and his dog.
“Comes in my room a lot, and likes to
play with me, and then, we also play
out in the backyard sometimes, too,”
said Nick.
In Nick’s eyes, Ace is a hero.
“Yeah, he saved my life,” Nick said. “I
love him a lot more.”
Nick had gone down for an afternoon
nap Wednesday and took out his
cochlear as he normally does before
he goes to sleep, and he didn’t hear
the smoke alarms beeping.
Ace did, and knew he had to get
Nick’s attention.
“He came in my room and started
licking my face and then I woke up
because I thought he wanted to go
out back or something,” he said.
It was much more urgent.
“We got outside, I grabbed a couple
of things, my cochlear, my phone and
then him,” Nick said.
“You could see our house from the
highway, so when I drove by it on the
highway it was a little worse because
I could see all the fire trucks,” said
Lindsay Bernard, Nick’s mother.
There’s almost nothing left of their
house, but their lives were spared, all
thanks to a sharp-minded pit bull.""

"" A very loyal dog helped alert his South
Carolina family that their 7-month-old little
boy was being abused by his babysitter.
After the dog began to show signs of
aggression toward the woman, the parents
hid a camera in the couch and caught the
babysitter cursing at the baby and slapping
him!
Benjamin Jordan, the baby’s father, said,
“About five months into her being our
babysitter, we started to notice that our dog
was very defensive of our son whenever she
would come in the door. He was very
aggressive towards her and a few times we
actually had to physically restrain our dog
from going towards her.”
The 21-year-old baby-sitter was charged
with assault.""

The first story was a really nice story of a dog helping humans, although, the following does sound bad:
“Comes in my room a lot, and likes to
play with me, and then, we also play
out in the backyard sometimes, too,”

Me too.....how do these parents refrain from stomping a mud hole in the babysitter's ass?

I guess the same way you and I refrained from killin the idiots who took precious ones from us. I wanted to kill her so bad-but the law did some justice in my case so I didnt have to ya know? I would have let the dog loose on this bit.ches ass before reporting her tho for sure! lol

Yeah ! Mark one up for the Pitt bulls , the original nanny dog. My Pitt salutes you, he's the best dog I've ever had.

My pitbull is protective of my autistic nephew. That's his little buddy. You should see him pout when Bubba goes home. Priceless. There's a 95 lb dog whining like a little pup. Too funny.
