Maybe I forget sometimes that today isn't going to be like yesterday. Maybe I take for granted that the people that I meet will be there tomorrow in the same place for me to see again. Maybe I dont realize that in that moment that this was my second chance. Maybe it's a disappointment when I didn't see you where you usually are. Maybe yesterday was a little more then a wake up call.

But I know that today if I ever see your face that I'll smile and talk longer then I should. I know that one day if I never see you again I'll always look back and wonder what might have been. I know that today ive been more alert then I have been in a while. And I know that today I didn't just pretend to put on a smile.
