Alright. I'll admit it. I don't have a freakin' clue about the "fairer sex." Can any of you tell me just exactly what the allure is with "Fifty Shades of Grey?" Isn't it just porn for women? Not trying to troll. A very fetching young lass I've known since kindergarten was quoting lines on a social media site and I asked her the same thing. I'm seeking knowledge.

I haven't read it yet...and aren't all romance novels pretty pornographic? I think the allure is the sexual exploitation of a woman being submissive in the bedroom. Sounds hot to me...and if it's helping women branch out and try new things in their relationships, why not? That's how I see it.

In my opinion it's about the same as a man reading Penthouse Forum or Oui. Letters. Got an idea. You have a library card?

Maybe the same concept, but completely different presentation. That book was marketed to women as classy porn. But what do the statistics say these days? 78% males and 28% females access porn sites. But 70% of women keep their porn activity a secret? THAT'S why the book had so much allure. Women didn't have to hide that they were sexual beings.

https://wsr.byu.edu/pornographystats Where I got the stats :)

Pretty much porn that has a love story in it. But most of the books wasn't about sex, I had to read chapters just to get to it

Its.about Dominant Submissive relationships in and outside of the bedroom. Women love the dominant nature that Christian Grey portrays period. Not just sexually although that is a large part of it.

Its the good girls excuse of the day to be dirty....or rather, the excuse of yesterday. Something always comes along, for girls who dont wanna be seen as sl*ts, to basically admit getting off to. Decades ago, it was Fabio, 9 1/2 Weeks, etc....women are strange that way lol

Reading this thread reminds me of the mothers day SNL sketch that came out a couple years ago. About the time the books got popular

In 8th Grade I Skimmed Through My Teacher's Porno Novel. I Had Fun F.ucking With Her Head Making References To Being "Ravaged" And "Caressing Of Inner Thighs" Lol. But When She Wrote Me Up For Drawing An X Rated Pic The Kid Gloves Came Off.
