Does a business have the right to refuse service to anyone they want to in the US? (by LaDawn)
Well gay advocacy groups have been banned again from marching in the new york st paddys day parade , and rightly so imo cuz the parade is organised privately by the ancient order of Hibernians i think , and they want to keep the parade about st patrick and being Irish , so the parade shouldnt be hijacked by people who just wanna show the world how gay they are by dressing up in weird leather gimp leprechaun outfits and the like , gays themselves are welcome to march though just as long as they dont act gay or use the parade as a sort of protest , so thats one instance of discrimination that is perfectly legal and acceptable imo
My sister in law is a photogropher....she refuses to take pics of people swinging nude from trees...is she wrong? how does that differ?
@LaDawn: that nude people swinging from tree s don't have a advocacy group who bitch any time someone says they don't believe in what they are doing
I dont think shes refusing based on race, color, religion, or national origin so to hell with em....

@LaDawn:
Insert CO for CA and theres your answer.....
In addition to the protections against
discrimination provided under federal law,
many states have passed their own Civil
Rights Acts that provide broader protections
than the Federal Civil Rights Act. For
example, California's Unruh Civil Rights Act
makes it illegal to discriminate against
individuals based on unconventional dress
or
sexual preference.""

I just think it is so wrong....where do we draw the line? Seriously....WHERE THE FUK do we draw the line?
@LaDawn: Heard an interesting theory abt that....it compared liberalism and conservatism to a swinging pendulum.....and says its abt at its liberal peak....I can only hope so.
I think of myself as a liberal.....but, yea there is a but, I don't see how forcing one man to go against his religion so that two other men don't feel uncomfortable has become acceptable in this nation founded on freedom!
