I may just be in a mood today, but I honestly have felt this way for about a month...

I see site veterans say that the forums used to be so much more active and interesting, and I can't really offer a solution to bring it back to that. I have found myself only enjoying the site when certain users are on because they are the only ones who comment or don't make repeat threads.

Is it possible that people have run out of topics? Or maybe the site has made them so successful in love that they just delete and never look back,regardless of their forum activity? I've been on the site for 3 months (one month under a different username) and find myself logging on out of habit and having MAYBE a few enjoyable conversations with some folks and the rest of the time thinking, "wtf?"

To the people who use the forums regularly, why are you here? Or should I say, what keeps you here? I'm curious to know what everyone's experience has been and maybe that will help me gauge whether I should stick around or just delete again...

This site is entertaining when I have time to kill. And its interesting to say the least. I've developed feelings of friendship to some of the users that I wouldn't give up for the world.

I am still here for a few reasons-the biggest being that I have met at least one guy who was near me that I had a decent short term relationship with. Im hoping to find another that is an even better match:) Also its a social network-I basically replaced my facebook time w this forum because I enjoy the instant chat and bein able to choose what I read:) I have friends Im rootin for to find love on here so I stay even if I do meet someone-just change my profile status:)

@sweeterthejuice: as a veteran, I come on forums only to have a laugh, cool of and interact. True, to say most of us have had the best out of the site

Nostalgia? Hope? Not sure...I have made a couple of friendships that I believe wld survive without these forums, but there are many other members that I truly enjoy reading about the little slices of their life they choose to share. And once upon a time when I was in a very difficult place the laughter and companionship that I found on here gave me a few moments outside of my head. Those moments enabled me to keep my head above the water. And I can't help but to hope that these forums once again become filled with those that I enjoy bantering with...I particularly enjoy these forums because they are 'personal'...not just a bunch of people typing to see their fingers move...well not all of us anyway!
I am not nearly as active as I once was but I still read every post made...as I have since the very first one...that makes these usernames real personalities to me and I feel as if it is more than just an online dating site but more of a community with all types...some I enjoy visiting with, some I cross the street to avoid and some I'd like to run outta town with my shotgun...but all are entertaining at some point. And ya never know...mebbe I will actually meet the guy just perfect for me...
