Andres, i have a problem.... (by 1honestman)
I don't read every thread in the Forums, so I only enforce the rules on the posts that I actually see. Reporting offending posts helps me see them. Also, who are those "certain" users you speak of? Send me a full list via PM.
The Forum software doesn't allow that, otherwise there would be no one left to administer the Forums! :)
Indirect personal attacks are still against the rules since they cause conflict just like direct personal attacks.
Please report each of those posts you have seen violating the rules where nothing has been done.
Unless every single offending post is always reported, justice will never be dispensed in a fair and impartial manner because I simply won't see all offending posts. As for you, would you prefer a dunce or a ban? If the former, how long would you like it to be?

of course Andres couldn't be dunced. But he's also a premium member, and as a member/administrator, isn't it your job to check YOUR site and and make the proper decisions? Enforce the rules as you have created? Things get reported, but it seems you pick and choose who gets dunced/banned based on your opinions of things said.
@Andres: I will do my best to make this.....
""Oh Im sorry.....continue on.....far
be it for me to to care if you make yourself
look like a bitter, jaded, male chauvinist
pig.....carry on, by all means.""
become this....
"Oh Im sorry, far be it for me to care if people make themselves look bitter, jaded, and chauvinistic.....carry on, by all means""
For the record, I didnt have any problem with the dunce, but I did not call him a pig as has been stated a few times here......is what I said an indirect attack? Mehhhh its iffy but I can see how it can be taken that way....and I dont have a track record of INDIRECTLY attacking anyone lol. But, its your site, your rules, and your call, so I dont have a problem with it.

We have over 250,000 members and more than 400,000 posts. I cannot possibly check every single user and every single post. That's why I rely on the community to report what needs to be brought to my attention.
Although the alternative version is certainly better, it still violates rules #1, #3, #4, and #5.
Either version of your post adds absolutely nothing to the conversation and only serves to antagonize other members, who will most likely respond with another attack, and thus begin a flame war.
The easiest way to avoid getting dunced is to simply not discuss other members in a negative light.

Ok andres im starting to smell a little bit of bull ****... That thread (ok here we go) was only started to create drama and even a ******* can see that... But i never said anything on it. I just hit the report button like you asked... And waited but nothing happened other than you closed the thread.
In threads where I have to dunce several people, I sometimes just close the thread if I don't have time to manually check each Premium user and reset their infractions, write out an explanation to each user about why they got dunced, and then hand out each individual dunce. It's very time consuming to hand out multiple dunces, and if I'm working on more important stuff, then it's just quicker and easier to close the thread to end the drama. Other times, I do have time, and I hand each one their sentence, and the thread becomes a bloodbath of red. It just depends on what I'm doing when I see the reports and how many reports come in.
Unfortunately, there is no way to automate the dunces, so these inconsistencies will continue to be a part of the System. It's just easier not to commit infractions, and then you don't have to ever worry about any inconsistencies since it will never affect you.
