Thru observation of nature Sam...the playfulness of animals and the wondrous seasons and appreciation of our bodies abilities and miracle of birth...and many more things I cld wax poetic about...our very existence connect us to God, and I believe he is capable of allowing me to feel that connection outside any man-made religion.
this just wldnt type in what I wanted...I also asked u to define spiritual values, pls?

Thank you samestone. I finally got her calmed down. Thank you so Very much. This for me is very hard. For me giving up is giving up on life. Just because shes imobile doesent mean she can live. She not in cancer pain unless she is doing more than she should. God bless all of you that have been here to here me. I think when i told her that i was tired of it she thought about it. Just so you all know im the black sheep. Im the one here but was stuck in florida when my father needed me through a triple bypass. But im here now so that should matter.

@JLaDawn: spiritual values are relgious or ethical values reflected ones belief about life. So without being connected to something where is the need for ethics? I'm not saying you can't feel a connection to god without religion but to be spiritual one must make an effort to understand that connection and be led by it. To learn to be led cannot happen alone. It takes others to help us with what we can't see. Although i understand that this is all relative to how it relates to self i am also aware that self can't see self

I think that the difference in what we are talking abt Sam is that I believe that I do not need another man/woman to lead me to God, I believe that God will lead me to him, albeit he may use another man/woman to do it (or not) but be that as it may it was still God that directed my path to him. And keep in mind that Adam and Eve belonged to no church, yet walked with God.

And spiritual values do not need to be taught by another...the hypothetical man i spoke of earlier wld feel remorse at killing an animal that he had befriended thus learning not to kill. he wld be capable of learning to care for earth without being schooled on how...God WLD find any number of ways I cant even begin to fathom to lead that man to sprituality...

@JLaDawn: i think the difference lies with human limitations. I can only speak for myself here and say that god only leads me when i let him and i need other people to keep me humble and honest for in and of myself i fall short and miss the mark. It is through learning how to connect with other people that i become aware of what is blocking me from the sunlight of the spirit thus i learn to improve my god conciousness.

Now we are getting into semantics and the differences between men and women. If noone told the hypothetical man that killing was wrong why would he feel remorse? Not to mention the insanity that feelings can make a man spiritual lol if we flip the coin does that make depression, guilt and fear spiritual principles? Every parrable has the we element to it, and take it from a castaway, people weren't meant to be islands
