@Briteeyes: ahhh lol ok. By the info she was giving bout the insects giving off annoying sounds and how they come around this time i was thinking she was talking about Cicadas. Which i thought katydids where a type of slang.

Nope michigan is clr of infestations, just ur typical normal gross looking bugs flies and mosquitoes!!!

We have alot of katydids. Their cocoons are all over. They are not suppose to be here until 2015

Well, we have Katydids too... I call them Grasshoppers Lol hear them mostly at night by the Lake ,Creeks Swamps! And yes they can be very loud!
