Thank you so much. I hope you make the verifying pic mandatory.
Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. It'd be too much of a hassle, particularly for new users, since -- unlike the phone confirmations -- the pic verification is not instant.

Pay $2 verified background check.
Unfortunately, that's not going to happen either. Not only would $2 not cover the cost of doing background checks, but it would scare away too many legitimate users.

The beauty of requiring every user's phone to be confirmed is that it will make it a lot more difficult for banned users to come back on the site, without having to hassle our legitimate users or invade their privacy.

Right now, any banned user can create a new account right away within one minute of getting banned. Their phone number will be banned, so they won't be able to use the Forums, but they'll still be able to scam others (who don't have strict Contact Restrictions) through private messages.

Once this requirement goes into effect, however, scammers won't be able to create a new account so quickly, because they will need to procure a new phone number. As soon as they do that, they will get that new phone number banned, and they'll have to get a new number yet again. And so on. Eventually, they'll give up, because it'll become too much work, too much of a hassle, and too expensive to keep procuring new phone numbers. This becomes even more effective when you consider that we only verify phone numbers that originate in the country the user is claiming to be from, so an African scammer who keeps using a fake profile in the US will have an even tougher job of procuring new US numbers from Nigeria to keep creating new accounts. Phone numbers aren't like e-mail addresses, they're a lot more limited and more difficult to procure, particularly in another country that you're not in.

Just a suggestion but I think this notice should go out to everyone's inbox since not everyone especially non verified phone members read the forums. Just my thought, so they're not surprised when they can't access their account
yeah tha is correct.
I agree with that.

I finally was able to confirm my phone number. I just recently joined and fo some reason my number wasn't being confirmed. Took me several times and now it finally went through so there may be other users out there who are having problems confirming their numbers as well.
Also I thought of something when my number wasn't working correctly. I had thought maybe my number had once belonged to another person who perhapes got banned on here. I only go this new phone about two months ago.

As many #'s as the world has,.it'd be a sheer miracle to get a # of someone that JUST HAPPEN to ne a banned member of dating Dating.mobi from the past. What's the chances of someone in YOUR TOWN being a banned user?
