@brats52005: i can sympathise my ex sold all but a 1957 silver certificate and one coin from the third reicht from my gramp who was there. i just remind myself that he could have left nothing and i collect my plates now.

I just looked and didnt see any date on the bottoms of the medicine bottles but i got a milk bottle that says 1951 on the bottom and a small clear bottle that has a man holdin a big fish on it, i have no idea what it is, its not painted on but embosed(sppelling) on the bottle

@Donna I will look those up for u in a lil bit, the man holding the fish may be worth bundles, ive seen that logo b4 but not sure which company makes it, the one with 1951 is a good piece to, its over 70 yrs old, is it amber color? I will look that up also. Dates are very good to collectors.

@Donna the bottle with the man & fish is a Scott Emulison Cod Liver Oil bottled made from a firm in NY back in the 1800's....they are unique and rare. Price depends on the color, the more unique the color, amber, aqua, blue cobalt etc the more the value. Amber was the first "color" other then clear and was produced in 1847

@Donna I would hang onto it, its still from the 1800's, being clear means it is one of the first made. U can research it more if u ever decide to Scott Emulison Co. Also known as Scott and Browne firm in NY
