@JustMeAndYou77: Lingustics is a hugely fascinating study! Alphabets such as runes are intriguing, because despite different countries and languages (as you said) they often have similar if not the same runes.
Ah, very nice girl....:)) Yes, a lot of words we use today from all over the world stemmed from certain ancient words. We'd be surprised at what words were used then and are still being used today and those words that are now obsolete. I think there was a study at one point about the origin of words being older than the Latin origins. However, there were findings that other origins are so close in relation that it's hard to tell.
