New Feature: KARMA! (by Andres)
Its a good idea but at the same idea a bad Idea if you give someone bad Karama for being rude and if they think you did it then theyll give you a bad karama for no reson
A user can only give you Karma if you have sent them a message, so when a user sends you a disrespectful message, give them negative Karma and do not reply to their message, that way they won't be able to give you retaliatory negative Karma.
@Andres: I like to know if an user gives another a "Bad" Karma, do you read the message to be sure that the message was out of content? What I mean is do you Judge the vote or is it set in gold because the user says it so? It just seems to me that anybody can give a "Bad" Karma just because the other person said "I like your picture, you look nice." Maybe I am looking too deep into it. And another question how does a person know they got a Bad Karma strike against them?
No, we do not judge why a user has given another user Negative or Positive Karma. Anyone is free to give Karma any way they see fit. However, a Negative Karma Warning won't be displayed on a user's Profile until they have severely negative Karma, and it takes a lot more than one bad apple giving everyone Negative Karma votes for that to happen. To give you an idea, since we've implemented the Karma System, only three users have had the Negative Karma Warning on their profile. I analyzed all 3 users, and one had a nude pic (and has since been banned), one was just writing to women asking for sex, and the other was just going around saying "hey sexy" and asking for women's numbers without saying anything else. So the System seems to be working as intended so far.
If you guys want to see an example of a user with the Negative Karma Warning on their profile, have a look at this profile. How easily do you think he'll find a date with that warning until he improves his behavior?
Users receive a notification in their Datinbox when they receive Negative Karma so that they have an opportunity to improve their behavior before a Negative Karma Warning appears on their profile. However, users are NOT notified when they receive Positive Karma and have no way of knowing their overall score in order to keep the System from getting gamed.
The purpose of the System is to weed out serial harassers, not to punish nice users having a bad day.

@Andres: to be honest I don't like it at all because I haven't been rude to
This makes me laugh getting bad karma because im to busy to reply to messages cant help it when my inbox is full people give bad karma for stupid reasons gives people like me a bad name for no reason
It won't give you a "bad name" at all since no warning will appear on your profile unless you have severely negative Karma, which you don't. In fact, only 3 users on the entire site currently have the severely negative Karma warning, and they deserve it. As long as you are above the warning threshold, it doesn't make a difference if your Karma score is -3 or +100 because no warning will be displayed either way.
@Cassibear: i still dont how ths helps but i still dont how ths site works u Send somene a wink r message an thy dont reply move to da next 1Rit
This is a good feature, but a guy gave me negative karma just because I didn't want to give him my phone number right away lol. I am never rude to anyone so, I think he just had a bruised ego. But I guess one negative won't hurt :X
