Andre I just found out that the dump feature does not keep them from viewing my threads or comments?:( Can we not block them from seeing us and anything about our lives? Btw I love this site so far-and see you are truly involved in making it the best:)

The problem is that we aren't Facebook. Facebook is about sharing intimate details of your life with a close network of friends and family. Dating sites are about giving yourself maximum exposure to complete strangers in order to increase your probability of finding a mate. Doing something like a Facebook block would have little effect on Dating.mobi because they could just logout and see your full profile as a logged-out user.

Does that make sense?

Anyway, glad to hear you are enjoying the site! :)

I know this has been asked for before, but recently had a very creepy problem with someone and I dumped them, I am considering deleting my profile because just the thought that the creep can still see everything I write as well as my profile makes me ill. Is there not a way we can automatically dump ourselves from them as well? So that way our dumps cannot see us.

lol viewing who dumped u is kinda wildly strange. I've only been in contact with one of them, and none are on forums so makes u wonder....why dump?? hmm well shucks I can't ask em huh lol. oh and I thought if they blocked me I wouldn't see them in search....but I do see each of these guys in online now and stuff....or is it they won't see me in search?

The problem is that both your Profile and what you write in the Forums are public, so even if we blocked Dumped users from being able to see them, they could still easily view them by simply logging off.

No, if they Dump you, it only affects their experience. It essentially removes you from their site experience, so to them it will be as if you did not exist on the site. Likewise with any user you Dump. People don't just Dump people they don't like them, some simply use it to "filter out" other users they know they will never be interested in for whatever reason.

There is no such thing as a stupid question here. :) If by comments, you mean Forum posts, I wouldn't want to make them private because they currently get indexed by Google, which means our site pops up in search results more frequently when someone searches for anything related to any discussion in the Forums. I wouldn't want to lose that extra traffic as it is difficult enough as it is to grow without an advertising budget. That said, the Premium users will soon have a Private Club area of the Forums which will allow them to discuss things that can only be seen by other Premium users and no one else, so that will be the closest thing to what you are asking for.
