@smgangel: yeah football (soccer is really all i've known) i only get paid for travel, oh thats great was that playing/watching or both

At least you are accomplishing your dream though :-) I played it as a kid but when we moved the school I attended did not offer it. I usually played "striker"

@smgangel: in that case your a far better player than me. I play right back or centre back, i think it's a massive shame to find girls/women who want to play it and can't it's a real chance lost.

It was only junior high :-) I was in a lot better shape then lol! It was disappointing to have to stop playing but that's just the roll of the dice. If schools were better funded they would be capable of offering these recreations to more children.
