Faithful lady for marriage thread, post 2 is not mine Andres....yikes

I really thought I had fixed it, but I clearly haven't! This is so frustrating for me as I can't seem to get rid of this problem, but I can only imagine how frustrating it is for you guys to have your posts getting crossed with another user.

I'm going to setup a few more mouse traps in the code to see where this is going wrong. What I do know from looking at the post you mentioned above is that this is happening when a user is on as a "guest" (e.g. not logged in because their session has expired). So that at least gives me somewhere to focus my attention on, but this problem is proving to be more elusive than I originally anticipated.

Rest assured, however, that I will not give up until it is 100% fixed.

It does happened to me too. xxxDonna made a comment but under my username. I think it happened twice or thrice on different occasions but she instantly made it clear who posted it.

UPDATE: So I've reported the problem to the Forum makers so they can fix it on their end. However, since I know that could take several months, I've gone ahead and patched the code on our end to ensure this does not happen again. I had to dig in deep to do this since the problem was not on our end, and I'm almost 100% certain that I got it, so please report ASAP the moment any posts get crossed if it happens again (though it shouldn't).

Thanks for everyone's patience with this, I know it's been frustrating!

@Andres: I posted a new thread today under music & lyrics : First & Last concert you seen. It showed the user was darrensmith0191 posted it instead of me tractorjohn. Just wanted to let you know Thanks & have a great weekend.

My last comment (#275) on Arkansas Thread Country Boy is once again showing that user darrensmith0191 posted what I wrote this morning. Could you exchange my user name for his on this comment. Thank you & have a nice day. John

Thanks for letting me know. I've just implemented yet another change in the code to keep this from happening. It seems that there are many causes of this problem, and I believe I tackled most of them. However, after all the changes I made previously, posts were still getting crossed when a logged-in user's session expired and they attempted to make a post with an expired session. With the changes I just made, you will now see a message telling you to login before posting whenever your session expires, which will hopefully resolve this problem once and for all.

That said, I'm not going to give up until this is 100% resolved, so please keep reporting these crossed posts/usernames as they happen. I hope the Forum makers will eventually resolve this on their end, but I'll continue to patch things up on our end until the problem completely disappears.

Thanks for reporting it, and sorry once again about this very frustrating problem.

@Andres: I just now posted a new thread. And it worked just as you said, I had to log in again before I could post the thread.
