Well.... The only thing is that idea only applies to a small portion of voters who happens to be Independent. They can take a more laid back approach because of the two traditional existing parties. Not the wisest thing the Independent party can do considering. I think having an Independent party is wonderful. I loved voting independently but I also think it needs more anchoring. What's the point of having an independent party and me voting independent and having to vote for Republican or Democrat?? It's way too laid back and flimsy. It is a party of itself and people who are Independent should have reasons to vote for Independent candidates including an independent president. It was very frustrating. I needed leadership in my vote. Wasnt going to continue voting for a swinging Independent presidential candidate ug lol

Actually any career politician flip flops terribly. What we have now is legislators that will say any thing to get a vote and few have the backbone to stand behind the principles of their electorate.

This is true...yes, you're right about that. I see people who are on either side switching up based on certain issues they think that candidate can handle better. This is the way it should be, but without the voter "having" to simply because they really dont have their own party. For now, Independent party is just a cool name and it made me feel all free lol Well, Im already free dammit lmao I wanted a party that stands up to both Republican and Democratics...a united party exclusively in favor of the American people. Not corporations, lobbyists, and surely not big business who are shipping jobs overseas when we need them right here. Right now, the problem is that Republican nor Democrat really can handle those issues Independently.
