Why can't more men be like a military man when it comes to being in a relationship? (by Angelia)

I've been in long term relationships since I was 15. But I have to say that THE best guy I ever dated was a soldier! I'm single now but I see the big difference between civilians and military men when it comes to being in a relationship. Why aren't more civilian men as dedicated to their woman as a military man is?

Not all military men are good gentlemen. Met a few who were completely disgusting and rude. Every man is different.

i hv wondered about this myself. i too hv dated military men and there is a HUGE difference, although sum can still be a royal pain in the a**! but generally speakn, i think the majority of them do treat their woman with respect and love. to me, there is nothin like a military man. i think alot has to do with the fact that, they are taught self-discipline and respect & honor in a completely different way. they may hv joined as a boy, but came out a man. Big difference there. Jmo!

i am an ex military man, really depends on the timeline they join. now new recruits can get away with just about murder. when i joined i learned respect, discipline and dedication. we apply it to everything now. and also depends on their up bringing prior to service. my parents raised me to always love and treat a woman right. all those factors come into play
