Wld depend on what both ur schedules are, I light up at varied calls throughout the day just because he saw something or read something or thought of something that he just couldn't wait to share with me. On the other hand I can go without talking for days if one or the other has alot going on. like if hes on a fishing trip or something....i think this question really is to person specific to have a general answer.
