If you attempt to abuse the Karma System, you will lose all of your Positive Karma. (by Andres)

and this is why im a 3 time member! *now insert clappin smile* lol
Just wanted to remind everyone about this.
I just finished removing all of a user's Positive Karma after they were reported for asking others why they hadn't given them +1 Karma and then requesting that they do since the user had been "polite" to them.
This particular user dropped from a whopping +26 to a -2 Karma Score. It obviously wasn't worth it, particularly since they can no longer get any Karma from those that had previously given them +1.
Play it safe and avoid even mentioning anything about Karma via Private Messages to keep this from happening to you. It takes a while to build up your Karma Score but you can lose it all in an instant if you try to manipulate the System in any way.
