Ravens release Ray Rice after "new" video surfaces (by WalkSoftly)

My honest opinion of both of these situations. And a lot of people probably WON'T like what I'm about to say...

I'm not excusing what Rice did. He was so wrong.
But, women need to stop provoking men just because they aren't SUPPOSED to hit us. I don't know the nature of their argument beforehand, but he made a choice that was wrong in that moment. She made a choice to stay with him...which is almost worse than his choice to me. And I understand the "abused" mentality, maybe she stayed with him out of necessity and stuck up for him on social media out of fear, but I highly doubt that was her only reasoning. To believe that love will change that behavior is outrageous. I don't necessarily agree that he should be banned from the NFL indefinitely. Not my choice to decide anyway, and I'm glad.

It does seem from the photos that Adrian Peterson went too far and accounts of the child and doctor seem to point to that. BUT, how is this anyone's business, but this family's and the agencies that deal with this stuff? Whoopings happen everyday, and yea this extent seems extreme. BUT I am just as apalled by parents who provide no discipline, whatsoever, as I am by parents who overly-discipline. Another one of those things that the media could be just over sensationalizing...

BUT,
how is this anyone's business,
Its the era of the 24 hr news cycle.....you dont expect em to talk abt Senate budget committee crap all day, do ya? The "train wreck" sells.

And, to me, the bigger story with Ray Rice is the NFL hypocrisy......dont you DARE hit one of there precious QBs too hard during an actual game lol

She made a choice
to stay with him.
Those lil green slips of paper with pics of presidents on em will make people do strange things....even after getting spit in the face and knocked the hell out.

the media could be just over
sensationalizing...
Of course....see the "tree branch" quote. My only issue is that the kid was 4.....a lil too young, IMO, to be getting switched....on the scrotum.....and now CNN is full of "child experts" telling Americans how to raise their kids....and their msg is "no spanking at all"....which is just as much BS as abuse....thanks Adrian!! lol

Got another one....

"" Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan
Dwyer was arrested today on domestic
violence allegations following an incident
with his wife, according to multiple
sources.
Per CBS News, Dwyer faces charges of
aggravated assault and preventing someone
from calling 911. (Update: Phoenix police
confirmed Dwyer's arrest on suspicion of
aggravated assault, with no mention of a
second charge.)
The news of Dwyer's arrest was first
reported by Tyler Baldwin, sports anchor at
3TV Phoenix.""
Link.

Now is NOT the time, NFL players, to be beating on the ol lady lol

is that the kids ass ? , jesus man they would never in a million years parade suspected child abuse victims for everybody to see like that over here , i mean there is laws even preventing the media from naming the kid or even the accused if naming the accused had even a slight chance of revealing who the victim was , i mean do the cops or the powers that be over there or even the media actually give a s.hit about the alleged victim ? , or are they just more interested and concerned in grabbing headlines in another trial by media circus case ? smfh

@TheCelt: I think its his leg....not sure though....and any arrest is public record....not to hard to figure out the kid if his dad is a big name athlete....nobody cares abt avg Joe Blow getting arrested, even tho its public also.....no one actually names the victim, its just that media puts 2+2 together.

@WalkSoftly: well the media always puts two and two together , but over here there is very strict laws preventing them from naming the victim or the accused and if they did name them they would get a huge fine and or their editors jailed , its all about protecting the victim from potentially more trauma , and rightly so imo , i could be in a minority idk but i find it rather disgusting seeing a toddler's domestic abuse injuries paraded for all to see just so the cops can build a case by media or just so the media can satisfy the curiosity of the general public , with absolutely no regard for the welfare of the child or his feelings whatsoever smh

@TheCelt: Its a thin line they walk....they cant actually say that so and so got abused....however, they can say Joe Blow got arrested for child abuse.....now So and So only has, say, one kid, so it isnt too hard to figure out. And that kid CAN be called to testify in a jury trial if one happens....depending on the circumstances...and an of age rape victim wld most certainly be called to testify.

Edited so if not clear...that jury trial wld be public also.

@WalkSoftly: over here the way it works in child abuse or rape cases is the victim can give evidence via videolink if they wish to do so , and even if the accused is found guilty the media still cant name the accused if naming the accused reveals who the victim is , the system isent perfect because often times even the dogs on the street knows who the victim and the accused is in major cases becuase its very hard to enforce them laws on sites like this where people talk openly on forums , but there has been cases of normal people on places like facebook been prosecuted for revaling victims identity , or even naming the accused becuase of the possibility of prejudicing the case against him/her , but still the media cant name them unless the (adult) victim actually gives up their right to Anonymity ,

So the accused...and possibly convicted....cld go un-named? Interesting.....not here, you get charged with a crime, any crime, the record is public...at the least, all it takes is perusing the local law enforcements website.....if youre arrested by them, there your name.....and mugshot....will be lol
