My favorite role he played was in the movie Popeye. He also suffered from bipolar disorder. I love his stand-up. I would expect much of it to be re-released.

Popeye was my favorite also, just watched it a couple weeks ago.. I knew of the depression but not the other

I met him at a small bicycle shop here in town about 10 years ago. Such a nice guy. And yes he was that funny in person. Very very sad news.
