What's to blame for recent mass shooting sprees? (by Hawkeye58)
Of course!

Good job boys, good job. Can't move forward without forgiveness.
. shows u r men (adults)

Hi Hawkeye, I am not against someone owning a gun at all...not in the slightest in order to protect themselves but I think people are still too trigger-happy. First, I think everybody needs to relearn the concept of gun ownership and gun use. You dont just shoot someone because theyve talked smack to you or you thought they were bad. Sheesh. We might as well register toddlers to own guns. Secondly, I feel there really should be a law on the number of guns an owner is allowed per household (with certain exceptions on hunting groups) as well as an age limit on what type of gun. You wouldnt give a bazooka to a 12 yr old. I think this will help with tracing and tracking guns and who used them and for what. There's too many different guns going in too many hands right now. Only the military should be this exposed to them. That's why we do have a military.
A lot of What you said, I agree with, but there are parts of the world that have almost no gun control laws, and don't experience anything near what we Americans experience as far as shooting sprees! For example, in many middle eastern countries, everyone can own an AK-47, yet they almost never go crazy and start killing their friends and neighbors
@Hawkeye58: Yes, true.... However, we're in America Hawkeye. It's hard to apply that concept when we're living in a completely different society. When they migrate to the US, their gun type or use may not be acceptable at all here. An AK-47 may qualify as military artillary here in the US. This is also my point. If the types were better regulated, I think it would help a lot. We just dont need certain types of guns as a personal protection.
The second amendment to our constitution, the right to keep and bear arms, was primarily written to protect us from a government gone out of control! That right was never to be infringed! Infringed meaning messed with! Our military is controlled by our government!

@Hawkeye58: I can answer that Hawkeye but I betta not lol But, I will say this. Everyone in the other country could be primarily the same. So all individuals are expected to abide by the laws. All of them understand what the ramifications are for breaking them and most likely (with exception of money which is a very universal ally lmao) will receive punishment about the same. This helps everyone respect the laws better because every single person knows it wont be tolerated...period. However, some societies pick and choose so there is more variation in how laws are applied and for whom. This is why, and I know we fight against not being able to do what we want and when and how but more stricter gun ownership laws and for everybody plus a system of what is owned and age requirements is necessary. We wouldnt want our younger persons carrying around AK-47s just because they do it overseas and their children arent dying by shooting sprees only in military camps.
well there was a guy in china only a few days ago who tried to go on a killing spree at a school . He stabbed 22 children about the same age as the ones killed in america but thankfully none of them died . But im sure there would of been many deaths had he used a gun . For some strange season there is alot of attacks by knife wielding maniacs on schools in china . The government there has even gone as far as posting armed cops outside schools just in case of an attack . but luckily for the kids over there gun laws must be a lot stricter than in america cuz otherwise school kids getting shot would be an almost weekly occurrence and the death toll would be alot higher
go and tell that to the people of wacko texas cuz i dont think they thought that their right to bear arms against an oppressive goverment was upheld :p
