I've actually been single for a year and a half almost and I still hope for that day where he says that he wants me back. It was one of my longest relationships, and he was actually my first love. After over a year of dating he just disappeared for a month and I didn't hear anything from him, but found out later that he dropped out of school, got hooked on drugs, and wanted to break up (all of this through text). Since then I haven't dated anyone, it's either been friends with benefits or I would get to know them and then leave when things were getting serious. I have the same problem with not being able to picture myself with anyone else. I don't know how long this feeling lasts, but from experience I wouldn't wait around to find out if she's going to come back, you might end up missing out on an even better catch.

@purecowboy1988: honestly man she doesnt deserve you. Your an amazing man and an idol. I dont have a clue and wouldn't ever say that but your hearts still beating and you got to push on. Not saying you have to fall in love just keep your mind set

@purecowboy1988: if you don't get a perfect lady next, for all that you had to endure then i really don't know. You deserve better than what most of us, if not all of us on here, deserves.

@MelissaFae: hey i'm sorry about your boyfriend he may have lost his feet a bit but i hope he manages to sort his life out so that he doesn't have to suffer in the long run. I understand how you feel not being able to move on because of what you still feel. The hardest part for me is that i am still in contact with her and i con't make myself break that contact that i have with her. I hope that he can one day say what he means to you and use that as motivation to turn his life around and make things right or if not so. But a guy that does drugs and drops out of school, you can get better than him even if it seems like he is your world right now. Time is suppose to mend all wounds, but it's often the scars that we see that makes us feel like it's still there. Thats our mind...

9 months and its been stress free and calming. I'm not going out with another jerk again so I'm quite happy being single for however long it takes. And wait til I meet the one.
