I agree just becareful and report them and dump them if they ask for money. Though i still havent had any trouble with scammers since ive been here. Set your contact restrictions for sure and it will help bunches. Good luck.

The problem with setting you're contact restrictions to USA only is that most of the scammers actually claim and state on their profile that they DO live in the USA, and that they are traveling and stuck somewhere (usually Africa) and need money to come home and see YOU! Best bet is to set you're restrictions to verified only.

I've actually never had that problem. There's a forum just for exposing scammers. Go put their usernames on there and get them outta here

yes that's true too Hawk. I agree with verified only cuz no scammer is gonna have a verified pic and most have more then one account

And verified only is not 100% guaranteed to weed out the scammers either. I've not verified some pics that were very very clever fakes! I can spot them only because of the time I've been here and all the pics I have verified, but I think a lot of people might not realize if a pic was photoshopped.

@hunter73: no it's not. Your always going to have crap like that. But I have met many good friends on here and at one point I thought I had found the love of my life on here. Which I have no regrets and still talk to him. So this site to me is awesome!!!

wow, that's terrible. But, the other posts (did not read all as they conveyed the same sentiments) were right. I dont like the change myself but we can only hide ourselves so much from the real world. We also have to learn to apply the knowledge we do have along with available features and a good dose of common sense. Please deal with the scammers on a scam by scam basis...report it when it happens and take control of the level of access he or she has to you. Be careful not to degrade all others who are not. Not all are.
