Of all the rules that should absolutely NOT be broken, nudity is the worst offense. It jeopardizes the fact that sponsors support Dating.mobi and without those sponsors, this would be completely a pay site.

Folks, rules are rules, and you break them at your own risk. I always appreciate when our members bring potential rule violations to my attention by reporting offending posts, as I would otherwise miss most of them since I don't have time to read most threads and posts. That said, the final call is always mine on what gets and does not get an infraction leading to a temp ban. I try to be objective at all times, but I'm only human (or am I?).

If you want an example of what happens when you don't moderate Forums, visit 4chan.org (you've been warned).

You guys don't agree with all the laws in your respective countries, but I'm sure most of you abide by them. That's all we ask here. For those of you that report offending posts, thank you for your help, I appreciate it, and please keep doing it. :)

I've seen a few threads get out of hand where people curse & call eacother names. Then one of them says Who are the forum police? Well I believe we all should report people who breaks the rules. We are not the police but let's suppose you are at home & you see somebody break into a neighbor's house, do you call the police or just let it happen thinking oh well it's not my house. Just like not long ago a girl began a thread saying she's posting nude pics on her profile page, she had people posting comments telling her to keep posting the pics, knowing it's against the rules for her to post them. Well did anybody who saw that thread report her besides me? She broke the rules & knew she was doing wrong. The rules such as no nudity & no cursing are set for a reason, Andres has said many times Do not reply to that person Report them & he will handle the person his way. Well when that girl posted those nude pics on her profile it was as if she broke into our neighbor's house & people just let her do it. Andres depends on us to report bad behavior to keep the riftraths off of this site. We are not the Forum Police but an "Eye Witness" to the rules that are broken.
I absolutely agree John & that particular thread was indeed turned out " all in one drama thread " from nudity to cursing to personal attacks/ insults .

I don't think " policing" is bad since the goal is to maintain the friendly atmosphere & to stop the trolls & unwanted comments but I like the Eye Witness ( term ) :) . Can I abbreviate it into I WITNESS ?

Good thread John & serves as a little reminder..... to me & ....

i read this whole thread and i do agree things get outta hand sometimes as ive been apart of and banned for my infractions. i agree with the bans ive had so its no big deal to me. while i tend to strike with words, im only defending myself. wich brings me to my point.... there are some people who can hold there own in most instances, (not all). or there are those of us, (as i have before), that can avert a drama scene, for the mostpart. my question here is, should we report the ones we can handle? like with a kid that was bein..... less than nice to the women, i stated (in different words) what he was doing was wrong. he cussed and threatened so i (in alot of many different words) *cough racecarbed cough cough* gave him a small talkin to. in the end he appologized and ask me if id give him advice. i dont remember using foul language..... so should i be reported for that?

@PaulG7719: for me , it depends to the offenders & the weight of " the bad action made ) ...There are members who aren't really that bad ( based on their posts/ threads & length of stay on Dating.mobi ) which will give an idea of who really they are ( virtually ) only were out of control due to some reasons ( maybe a bad day ) & so its up to the offending party & readers to report it or not .

But , its very rare where one thread drama ended nicely , its always a children's war !

Anyways infractions handed are varies so admin will have the last say for that , after all , he is an amazing robot :)

I don't know what context you are talking about when you say 'forum police'....but when that phrase goes thru my mind I am not thinking of the ppl that call the police when they see their neighbors house being broken into but rather the ppl that call the police becuz they see someone jaywalking.
Lmao! Me too!

Hi tractorjohn, nice to see you and very good thread. Ive seen the words forum police used a lot. I'm glad I made it back to this thread. You made awesome points in your introduction and I agree completely with you. You said forum police like that of someone acting as an eye witness or neighbor, which works for me. I have had my run-ins also but I'm never upset over someone reporting me...if I am indeed the one who is wrong. If someone feels they need to report another person for whatever reason, they need to at any time. You've also pointed out a clear case of someone breaking the rules. Nothing else personal was attached to it so you were right to make your approach to have something done about it. There were no personal judgements, attitudes, or feelings behind it. You also didn't appear to make a report simply because you thought who you were personally would gain you a bigger advantage or because you happen not to like them personally or what they've said may have stung you good and hurt your ego. These are very stupid, childish and selfish reasons and it does hurt a lot of people much deeper. It's damaging to people's dignity as well. I respect you for not abusing your rights to make a report. You reported an obvious problem and you did so objectively. I do respect people for handling things in this manner :)

I'm having a hard time to put my thoughts in words about this issue. I feel that the rules are set in stone & all of us should respect not only the rules but other people as well. Once we post a comment we either cross the line or stay behind it, we can not straddle that line. Now here is how I found out about the girl posting nude pics, I was looking through the new comers section see she's from the state I live in so I looked at her profile but received a message so after replying to the message I went back to her profile & seen a nude picture & I thought Oh No that wasn't there just a moment ago I reported it. So I then looked at her comments of threads & seen she started her own Strip Tease thread, I reported it as well & I think anybody who seen it should of reported it too. Just don't assume somebody else already reported a thread/comment that has crossed the line.
