With what i perceive as both a double standard in the admins duncing policies & enforcement of said policies. Today i see that a male member got dunced for calling another male member a "male chauvinist pig". REALLY??? Am i the only one here who sees the dunce over such a tame phrase as that to be an over zealous kneejerk reaction on the part of the admin? if a female member had written that, would she have been dunced? somehow, i doubt it. as an insult, it was about as mild as i've seen. and yet in other threads posted on today, i've seen a female member get compared with a 2 bit prostitute. that is just one example i found to base my charges on. so bring my dunce cap down with you, Andres. you have some explaining to do.

Feel free to disagree, but the rules are pretty clear and appear at the bottom of every page in the Forums. Attacking other users is a violation of those rules. Calling another user a "pig", for example, is a personal attack. It's completely superfluous, adds absolutely nothing to the discussion, and only serves to insult and antagonize another member, which then risks a flame war that completely derails a thread while scaring off new users.

I've said it time and time again. Discuss anything except each other. Discussing each other creates conflict and drama which leads to insults and dunces.

Do you think Berlusconi is a male chauvinist pig? Then you can say that here loud and proud and others are free to disagree and debate your opinion until pigs fly. But if you say that about any of our members, then you risk getting dunced. I honestly do not know how to make that any clearer.

@Andres: if attacking another user on here is cause for a "dunce" or being "banned", then why aren't certain users being "dunced" or "banned"? You really aren't applying your policies fairly or properly Andres. Many times in these forums, people have been verbally attacked, threads hijacked, postings under wrong headlines & so on, and yet some users are still here or comeback under different user names. Where's the fairness in that???? Hmmmm?

Well I hate to be the one to point this out cuz it looks as tho I'm showing favorites, but Walks got dunced for calling someone a chauvinist pig, but in reality he DIDN'T call anyone a pig, he said if u wanna ACT like a chauvinist pig go right ahead. So to me...THAT dunce shouldn't have happened cuz no name calling was involved

that's where the unfairness & improper application of dunce is being applied.

I'm going to have t agree with that. I have seen allot in the last few weeks hell even I have been guilty and nothing has been done. unfortunately it is the ones who are TRULY DESTROYING the forums who go mostly unpunished. But as in the past and probably will in the future the one s doing good will be punished for failures of communication or misinterpretations and the bad ones will delete or use alters before they get punished also

@Andres: well then sir, unless you want to be seen as a hypocrite you'd best dunce or ban me now. i have personally attacked several members here as the hornyoldgoat as well as 1honestman. among those i vented on are briteeyes, walksoftly, ladawn, bigdylan & tektonx as well as others. if you are truly committed to managing the dispensation of justice in a fair & impartial manner, then i must insist that you punish me as well.
