I would like 2 see a section 4 christians and/or other religious singles

Do you guys prefer a whole new section for "Religious Dating" with sub-forums for each major Religion (Christians, Muslims, Jews, etc.), or just one sub-forum under the "Love Corner" section called "Religious Dating" to cover all bases?

I feel like if we did a specific sub forum for each, we had better make sure we cover all the bases... Even the minorities. We wouldn't want to offend anyone :)

That would be a very long list.

So perhaps the second option makes more sense? A catch-all for any Religious-based dating under the existing "Love Corner"?

@Andres:I agree with irish Andres and yeah great idea 2 put it under the excisting ,Love Corner ' one as a sub....! ;p-

Also, since we are talking about religion here... @Andres: Would it be possible to add a Wiccan option to the religion section on our profiles? I had to choose New Age, but that's not really right... Please :)

@Andres: while ur here, I jus hit post on a long post abt my opinion on this subject and it disappeared, and I was also logged out. After hitting post, I was sent to this page..only the 'Join its free' icon was at the top and I had to log back in. @Irishlove had posted at abt the same time I did. That's the only thing I can put my finger on.

Alright, folks, I've added a "Religious Dating" sub-forum to the Love Corner: Religious Dating

That's a tough one, because if I add that one, then I'll have to add the literally hundreds of other smaller religions that exist in the world, which would be impractical for the vast majority of users. We already have a catch-all for other religions called "Other", which could be quite intriguing as I'm sure others would ask about what someone's "other" religion is just out of curiosity. I know this isn't the answer you wanted to hear, but it's sometimes very difficult to find the right balance of what to add and what not to add to make it as practical as possible for the majority of users without offending anyone. The list of religions I use on Dating.mobi I actually got from another site that has many millions of users, so I thought if it worked for them, then it should work for us.

That said, if we get a sizable number of members of a smaller religion, then I'll definitely consider adding it as then it would become more practical.

That is a difference of exactly 12 minutes and 20 seconds. Strangely, that's well below the 24 minute session length, so your session should not have ended, but it at least gives me a direction in which to focus on. I'm going to do a few tests on my end where I open a thread, wait 12 minutes, and then post a message to see what happens. Hopefully I can reproduce this error on my end so that I can add triggers to pin-point where this is going wrong. I'll report back as soon as I know more.

@Andres: I appreciate the difficulty of the question. I guess I just wanted to be able to proudly sport my religion like everyone else gets to. For someone in my position, it feels less like a catch all for smaller religions, and more like my religion doesn't rate high enough on the food chain to warrant it's own option. I do understand your position though. So thank you for considering this. A friend mentioned this as a possible option: Could we remove the drop down menu for religion, and each member manually type in their preferance? That way everyone would be able to put in what they want, without having to select *Other*...

Perhaps we can look into doing that in the future. It sounds easier than it is, but adding an "Other" that can be specified by the user would require changing the way the Search works on the site, because all of a sudden, instead of having a pre-determined set of options, you have a potentially infinite number of options. So it wouldn't be as simple as adding an "Other" field, otherwise I would do that for you right now. So let's re-visit this in the future once all the features I'm currently working on are out the door.
