Hi Folks,

We already know that most members are lurkers in the Forums and only a small percentage are active participants. However, we also know that several great relationships have been formed in the Forums and that they are a great way of meeting potential partners.

So how do we reconcile those two? Well, to increase the activity in the Forums and thus the chances of everyone finding love, I've decided to give them more exposure by including the 5 newest thread titles in every member's Home screen below the Forums link. This is live as of right now.

To be clear, this shows the last 5 threads that have been created, not the last 5 threads that have been updated with new posts, so it is NOT a replacement for the "New Posts" link at the top of the main Forum homepage. This is done on purpose, because I want to give exposure to new threads -- rather than active but old threads that already have plenty of attention -- to help spark them up.

The idea is that members who perhaps previously never ventured into the Forums will now see these new threads and join in on the discussions. Hopefully, this added exposure will encourage more of our members to participate in the Forums and find love.
