@Andres: You said that what we were getting for free before, we will still be able to get for free. Someone being able to override my contact restrictions because they are subscribed and I'm not seems like an invasion on our settings. (since thats what they were put there for in the first place)

Also. Being able to override a non-subscriber in the chat is terribly inconvenient, annoying and once again cutting in on our use of the site. Otherwise, I think the subscription is a great idea.

Free users still have the same exact Contact Restrictions against Free users as they always did, and they still have the same exact priority level for chatting as other Free users, so that has not in fact changed at all. In other words, among the Free users, things are exactly the same.

However, now there is a new and small subset of users who are actually paying for the service and where those old rules do not necessarily apply to them. With that payment comes special privileges and benefits, two of which are the ones you mentioned. However, Premium members cannot override the Contact Restrictions of other Premium users, and they do not have a higher priority level over other Premium users when it comes to chatting.

@Andres: I will just say. If I start being contacted by people who don't meet my contact restrictions. I will leave. There are plenty of perverts in the world and I refuse to be contacted by them. And since the chat feature allows subscribers to interupt my chat. I don't think i will be using it anymore. I've had it interrupted once or twice already. I appreciate what your trying to do, and I know you can't satisfy everyone. But there are some things I just don't like.

One other suggestion. Get-to-know-me or compatability quizzes would be another great feature. :)

This doesn't make much sense considering we do not have Contact Restrictions against "perverts". :) Also, you can still Dump any user, Premium or otherwise, but a Premium user will always be able to contact a Free user.

What do you mean they are interrupting your chat? They can only override your pending chat invitation with one of their own, but not your actual chatting. If you are in the middle of actually chatting with another user and Premium users are overriding that, then I need to fix that, so please let me know.

Believe me, there is always something someone doesn't like, and it will always be that way. It's a delicate balance, but I always try to be fair.

Yup, this has been suggested before and will becoming at some point in the future.

@Andres: When I've been in chat it suddenly stops and I get the MSG "the other user has canceled the chat, it has expired or has been overridden by another user." It can't have expired cause it just started. And they said they didn't cancel the chat. So I assumed it was being overridden.

I can see how you would have assumed that based on the status message mentioning the possibility that it may have been overridden by another user, but that assumption is not correct because I just tested it to be 100% sure, and it is simply not possible for anyone to override a chat in progress (as that would not be fair to either of the two users currently chatting). I just clarified that status message so that it doesn't cause any more confusion.

Premium members can, however, override free user's pending chat invitations, so if free user A invites user B, and then Premium user C invites user B before they have accepted the pending chat invitation from free user A, then Premium user C will override free user A's chat invitation, and user B will see a new invitation from Premium user C.
