Lol, a very excellent example!! 
I told white lies ... I believe most if not all of us have been in a situation where you can't tell the truth to protect hurting their feelings ( without evil intention ) especially children & you know those lies will never have a great negative impact ...although LIE is a LIE
Guys tell their girlfriends or wives white lies ALL the time...tho I doubt many here will admit it for fear of "looking bad" for a potential mate....we all know the "Honey, do these jeans make my ass look big" question lol..."No babe, not at ALL!"....we're not as stupid as we appear 
so um. a WHITE LIE? though its for good use. its still a lie. and there's no such thing as white lie.
Oh even WOMEN do it to their men. Example..."NO honey, I DID NOT fart!!"...ok, maybe that's a lil "brown lie"
