How incredibly dense can we possibly be?

I'm in awe of how negligent I was on my date last night, she kept leaning in, sitting on her side, played with my hair, and I didn't make a move, not one, I kept talking and sitting there like there was a glass ****ing wall between us.
But I had no idea at the time, my brain literally didn't process the signals she was sending.
Got any good examples of this phenomenon?
