Walks Pic Posting Primer (by MrWalkSoftly)
(58 / M-F / Louisiana)I've gotten a couple requests about how to post pics here and while I certainly don't mind posting them for users, I thought explaining how to do so would allow others the fun in doing so themselves.
There are two ways I upload pics...
1. Directly from whatever site they're on. To do this, long press the pic until you're prompted to open it to a new tab or just open it. After doing that, copy the URL for that page....not the page the pic was originally on.
Then paste it on the forums between the img bbcode tags. It'll look something like this:
[ I m g] paste the URL [ / I m g ]
Use NO spaces though (I had to or this site would've thought I was posting a pic)
2. Use Imgur. And the good news is that you don't even have to download the app.
Just type in Imgur.com on your browser and you'll be taken to the imgur mobile home page.
In the top right hand corner, you'll see a little cloud with an arrow in it, Click that and you'll be prompted to do an upload.
I choose document, and then gallery and then choose the pic I wanna upload.
Then click the blue upload button.
Once uploaded, the pic will display.
Now you wanna click "link" on the upper left hand side.
Choices of the type of link will then appear. Choose "BBCODE" and you'll see that link appear in the upper right side. It will already have the IMG tags attached.
Copy it and paste it to the forums.
That's all there is too it.
A couple of notes. if the pic is a screenshot I'm trying to upload to imgur, I have to change it to a jpg version to get it to upload. To do so, I run it thru my photo editor app and make a small change and save it. It saves as a jpg pic then.
Also, you can post gifs directly from a site they're on. Use the same img bbcode tags. IF the gif has "https" in the url, manually remove the "s" from "https".
