Ok so im buyin my car from my x im keepin up with my end of the deal we have paper work wrote up for it but i have no idea how much i have left to pay on this car since he wont send me the receipts or show me any paperwork for it from the dealership ive asked 4 times in the last month for the reciepts should i jus go to the car dealership myself and set up the payments with them or call a lawyer now

How do u know if he's actually paying the dealership?

I would go to dealership. See what they say about it and if u can, deal with them and not ur ex...imo

You might want to check w the dealer if hes not making the payments they may be ready to repo the car

Heres the thing its his name on the title not mine ive only been dealin with him cus i decided to make the payments on it when we were together and of course the min i took over the payments he broke up with me and now he aint givin me any receipts or nothin

thats y im wonderin if i should go ahead and call my lawyer cus its an hr and a half drive from where i live to the dealer and if i go there and they take my car cus hes not makin the payments im screwed on gettin home

Do u have some type of proof where u have been paying him? Canceled check, money order receipt, etc...?

im smart i been sendin money orders but without the reciepts idk how much is left to pay or if what he told me was what was left or not and in order for him to send me the bill of sale i actually had to go a wk without pay him so hed know i was serious bout givin him the car back and once he sent me the bill of sale i sent him the skipped payment along with that wks payment plus i go straight to the post office for the money order and mail it right there so i have the receipt for all of it and a witness sayin i sent it
