We've added one more option in our arsenal against scammers and fake profiles!

You can now require users to have a Verified Mobile Phone Number before contacting you (see your Contact Restrictions). This will ensure that we've confirmed that they actually own their Mobile Number.

We go one step further and also check to make sure their mobile phone number is in the country they claim to be in their profile. So if they claim to be in the US but their mobile number is actually in Africa, they won't get verified.

Furthermore, since we will have their actual Mobile Number which can be traced back to them, we don't expect many scammers to be verifying their number with us, so if you limit your contact to users with verified Mobile Numbers, then you can be even more certain that they're not scammers and are actually in the country they say they are.

We've made the Mobile Phone verification process ridiculously easy, all you have to do is send a 7-character secret code to:

Verifying your Mobile Phone number will NOT reveal it to anyone in any way, so it will be kept completely safe and confidential and no one will be able to see it.

Users that have Verified their Mobile Phone number with us will have the following icon appear next to their username on their Profile and in Search Results:



Of course, this is all entirely optional, but we have a feeling more and more users will add it to their Contact Restrictions, which will force more and more people to verify their Mobile Phone numbers and thus keep Dating.mobi even safer!

@Andres: Will you be adding an icon that will allow users to search for profiles who have Verified Numbers?

Hey brats, I saw that you tried to verify your mobile number, but you sent your username instead of your secret code. Give it another shot and make sure you only send the 7-character code. The verification is instant.

I'm assuming you mean adding the "Verified Mobile Number" as a search option? That will definitely be added in the future, we just need to wait until several users adopt it before that option becomes useful otherwise it will return very few results.

I didnt see a code. Sorry. I have a cheap prepaid that doesnt get everything like the little funny icons that people put in post.
