Introducing the new Virtual GIFTS! (by Andres)

After over 3 months of working with a Professional Designer to get them looking just right after all of your suggestions, and then building out the new System to integrate them into the site, I'm very proud to announce our latest new feature, the Virtual Gifts!
It is difficult to describe the amount of work this was for Aleksandra and myself, and the amount of back and forth with the designer that it took to get each individual Gifts looking absolutely amazing, but after seeing the final results and all of them together, it was well worth it! Of course, this wouldn't have taken so long if it had been just a handful of designs, but thanks to your awesome suggestions, we had a whopping 99 Virtual Gifts to design! In fact, we pretty much designed every suggestion that you guys made (save for one or two), so I want to personally thank all of you who helped out with suggestions. I don't know of any dating site that offers this many Virtual Gifts, or gifts of this quality, so we really wanted to set ourselves apart. We put a lot of heart into these designs and I'm confident you guys will love them!
So I just finished putting the last touches on the Virtual Gifts system and it is up and running. You will now see a "Send GIFT" button on every profile on the site. When you click it, you will be presented with a range of categories of gifts to choose from. Simply select a category to see the list of Gifts in that category and how many Cupid Credits they each cost. Just click on any Gift to see a larger version of it on the Confirm Gift page. Before you send your gift, you will also be presented with an optional feature that will allow you to include a message with your Gift. This optional message costs an additional 200 Cupid Credits to include, but you'll see why in a second. If you do not wish to include a message, simply leave the subject and message blank. Just click the "Send Gift" button to send your gift! That's it!
There is a huge range of gifts to choose from, which I'm sure you'll all have fun exploring, so there is definitely something there for everyone. The amount of Cupid Credits required for each gift varies, but almost half of them cost just 80 Cupid Credits, so they're very accessible (remember, referring just one female that fully verifies her profile earns you 240 Cupid Credits, enough to send 3 Gifts!).
Now, one of the most powerful features of the new Virtual Gifts is that they actually allow you to completely override any and all Contact Restrictions! We felt that sending a gift is something quite nice and special, so we wanted to make sure they are received by their intended recipients. This is why adding a message to your Virtual Gift costs an additional 200 Cupid Credits (however, you do not need to include a message in order to override someone's Contact Restrictions with a standalone gift).
When you receive a new gift from someone, you will be notified via a new Status Alert at the top just like how you are notified of new messages, winks, and roses, and when clicked, it will show you your new gifts in your Datinbox. I've added a new button in the Datinbox called "View Gifts" to just view the Gifts you've received so you can easily keep track of them ("View All" and the rest of the buttons will always include your Gifts, if any, whereas "View Gifts" will only show you your Gifts). You will also be able to see the Gifts you've sent via your Sent folder (please note that just like messages, Gifts are deleted every 31 days since they are also part of the Datinbox). On top of that, I've added 2 new buttons to the Connections feature so you can quickly see who's sent you a Gift, and who you've sent a Gift to.
Needless to say, you need to have enough Cupid Credits for the gifts you are sending. I've been telling you guys for a while to start referring your friends to earn those Cupid Credits or you would feel left out once the Virtual Gifts were launched. Well, that day has arrived, and those of you without any Cupid Credits unfortunately won't be able to send any Gifts at this time, while those of you who put in the hard work referring friends to the site have now been rewarded with a bunch of different gifts to choose from to make a serious impression on someone special. But don't worry, you can still refer friends and earn Cupid Credits, and if you don't have any single friends to refer, later this month we'll be giving you the option of also purchasing Cupid Credits when we launch the Premium version.
I expect there to be bugs, as is normal with any new feature, so I'm going to create a new thread specifically for bugs related to the Virtual Gifts so we can get any issues sorted as quickly as possible. Please make sure to post any bugs in that specific thread.
Well, that's about it, folks. These new Gifts have now added A LOT of much-needed color to the site and will make things a lot more exciting around here. OMG!!! Its finally here! WOOO-HOOOO!! Im ging to check them out now....what am i gonna send first....oh boy!! 
(40 / M-F / Nigeria)Andres, I read this thread and really appreciated how you keep every security feature in mind when you add new things. The new gift section as well as rooster block allow enough flexibility for anyone to use but never at the cost of any other feature. Right on! :))
I have and idear try to put some barn games poke hangman and other game and who ever get the highest score gets to 5 gift to send to that special person or you can make it more interesting thats up to you just and idea im just a nobody that write poetry god bls every one and thank you very much for ur site being totally free you are cupid your trying to conseal lonely hearts and i tilt my hat to you god bless you
