I (22F) hate how my boyfriend (25M) talks about how thick I am

I (22F) am currently dating my boyfriend (25M) I'm really happy in this relationship. He has been nothing but wonderful and I dont have a single complaint about him besides this litte thing. Although I am dieting and watching what I eat, I am on the bigger side. I'm not morbidly obese, but I definitely am not skinny. He tells me that I am exactly his type and that he loves thick girls, but he keeps making jokes and it makes me insecure. His jokes will be as harmless as "I have a thick Latina girlfriend my life is complete" or "people can't handle your thickness" When we had sex he even made a joke about how he was trying to find a perfect position because I'm so thick. I don't know if my weight actually bothers him or if he is just genuinely trying to make lighthearted jokes. I asked him if he genuinely does like thick women and he said "Of course I do!" I don't know if I'm being dramatic or not, and I want to talk to him about it but I'm not really good at confrontation and I don't want him to feel bad, because I know he has no ill intentions.
TLDR: Boyfriend keeps making jokes about my weight
