I got called in for a strange animal control job, we may all be in serious trouble.

First of all: If I have to press send before I?m done typing this - send help, as much help as you can, I?m located at (I am a bot, \bleep*, *bloop*,* this part of the posting has been removed for violating Dating.mobi?s Content Policy) just outside of Whitefish, Montana. ****, no matter how I try changing the lettering or capitalization I can?t enter the name of the building without getting this message. It must be some type of algorithm. Anyways, let me explain where this all started.
I woke up groggy today at 3 AM as my team and I had gotten called in for what was deemed an emergency ?high-profile? operation. My wife, Jen, was half-asleep when she said she loved me, and I was no more awake. ****, I really wish I had been more present with her. In fact, I should have just stayed cuddled up to her all day...maybe I could have had another couple weeks in peace before the ****storm.
I arrived at work and walked into the main corridors to see my two partners awaiting me by our white van, adorned with a sticker of a blue paw and our company name, Whitefish City Wildlife Contol. Being located in Montana, most of our calls were from frantic explorers who?ve encountered a bear, or concerned commuters complaining of deer, moose, or other animals blocking a city thoroughfare in the more foresty areas.
Jill, always being the chatterbox, chimed in, ?We?re going to some government agency. Spooky top secret stuff, we have to sign NDA?s and everything.? Ha, like I give a **** about an NDA now. We were debriefed by our dispatch agents and we loaded up the van. Jill spoke up again as we headed towards the site.
?Local animals wreaking havoc in the area? What the sugar honey iced tea is that supposed to mean? I wish we had more details.? Ace nodded in agreement. His bright blue eyes betrayed his quiet and secretive demeanor. He never spoke much, and neither Jill or I knew his real name. Ace was a nickname given long before either of us started working here, and he would refuse if we ever asked his legal name.
The rest of the ride carried on in silence, and we were met with a surprising scene upon arrival. We weren?t met by any security or government personnel, and the gate was wide open - completely unsecured. In fact, it looked like it had been gnarled open, the chainlink metal bending backward diagonally towards the ground.
The opening wasn?t wide enough for the van, so we packed our equipment and continued on foot into the facility. Dawn?s light crept over the trees surrounding the entrance, allowing barely enough light to see the wreckage that unfolded. The facility is simple, a series of rectangular buildings surrounding seven outdoor stasis chambers, no larger than a hotel suite. The glass in these chambers, however, had all been broken, leaving shattered metal and glass debris along the paved walkways intertwining between the buildings.
Still, we saw no sign of human life, so we decided to split up and investigate the area. I headed towards the central chambers while Jill and Ace took to the buildings on the perimeter, not in much better shape than the glass structures in the center. I noticed a foul smell, that seemed to combine copper and wet cats. Jill noticed as well, and I heard her voice through my walkie-talkie.
?Smells like garbage in here, wish I had worn my mask.? I went into the nearest chamber and found cameras lining the upper metallic rim, well, what was left of it. Tubes originating from the walls were thrashed about and were laden with blood. It was odd that there were no people, but it was even more quaint that there was no sign of animals in the area either. Except for the reeking odor, of course.
As soon as that thought entered my mind, it soon departed as I heard deep, animalistic roaring coming from the left side of me, presumably the forest. What kind of ****ing wildlife situation is this?, I thought to myself. Excuse my language, to say I?m shaken up is an understatement.
Suddenly, I heard crashing from the same direction and the desperate screams were mirrored in my walkie-talkie. I was surprised to hear Ace?s voice, and it conveyed something I had never heard or seen him express- paralyzing fear. He stammered, ?Hal, Hal! Get the **** over here! This giant panther, lion, looking ass thing just tore the walls apart and went ape**** on us.? A pause. ?I tried to save her, but it got Jill. I?ve gotten out for now, but please Hal you gotta-? Another pause.
?****, it can hear me. Bring your gun.? I would be lying if I said I didn?t consider just bolting for the van and getting the hell out of there. I had no idea what we were up against, and I still may not. Quickly, I steadied my breath and raced over to save my team from what was clearly a situation gone haywire. I thought of my wife and did my best to not let my own fears and emotions cripple my ability to think and act.
I turned the corner of a walkway to see two animals, each standing at least 12 to 15 feet tall. They were both jet black. Near the edge of the forest was a massive stallion racing into the morning, holding Jill?s dead body by the neck inside of its massive jaws. Its eyes were ghostly white, with only a black slit similar to cats for a pupil.
The creature nearest me had the body and tail of a panther, but its majestic black mane was that of a dominant lion. It stood level with a majority of trees and was unleashing a muffled snarl as it tore into Ace?s insides. His face was stained with dried blood and tears as he helplessly yelped as he was feasted on. He saw me and pointed behind me with terror in his eyes. I panicked (well, more than I already was), but much to my relief I was not met with a massive beast when I turned around. It struck me that the panther-lion thing hadn?t yet noticed my presence, and Ace was trying to tell me to leave.
I hated to leave someone I considered a friend to die such a gruesome death, but I had no other choice. There was no way I could have saved him, and I feel my gun would have just ****** off the panther and alerted the stallion and whatever the **** else may be out there.
I attempted to sprint to the van but saw a pair of hooved feet inching closer from the trees towards the entrance. Left with no other choice, I headed into one of the perimeter buildings, doing my best to not be seen or heard. I tried to phone 911 and the office for help, both to no avail. The service was completely nonexistent.
I noticed a couple of computers hardwired into a router, and luckily the login information was on a sticky note attached to the monitor. Internet access was available, but nothing labeled as a private message or email would make it past the government firewall. I guess they didn?t want someone to spill the beans about what they were doing here.
When I dug around in the files, I was horrified to find details of the operations going on here. It was too much to detail all of it, but I?ll summarize the best I can. A genetics-based firm working with the American government apparently established this facility earlier this year. It was in a rather outlandish Montana forest to ensure complete privacy.
These guys have been working on some serum that when injected transforms a human into a perfect being. I should say perfect*, because essentially it would create an unstoppable war machine. The person was supposed to be enhanced in every way after the serum, especially in size, strength, speed, reproduction, etc. Yes, you read that right, reproduction. The thought process was if one super-soldier can spawn hundreds as quick as a fly, who could stop a nation with an instant super army at their disposal?
It eventually developed to the point where they decided to test on animals. They gave the serum to seven animals, a mix of local and imported exotics, and kept them in the stasis chambers to monitor their changes. Based on the logs, they grew at an astronomical rate, and the study is only 20% of the way complete. I?m no genius, but I can connect the dots that they grew much more powerful than expected, and when they broke free anything living would stand no chance at survival.
****, I think they?re coming. I hope I didn?t do anything to alert them.
****, I just looked out the window - tiny as it is - and saw a ginormous green reptilian tube encircling the entire group of buildings. The roars are getting louder and louder, and the more I listen the less natural they sound. It?s almost as if the animal before the serum and the beast it unleashed after are fighting and producing a ghastly orchestra.
The data says the animals weren?t given the portion that improved reproductive rate, but it looks like that?s absolute horse****. There are only seven chambers, but the heads of the animals are now creeping above even the tallest of trees, and I know for a fact I see at least thirty ****ing ears.
God help me. I?ll try to get out and update if I can. If not, I?m located somewhere in the forest 20 miles north of Whitefish, Montana. If the firewall on this computer lets this pass (as it?s not a private message) if there?s anything you even can do, at all cost prepare yourselves for the worst.
Wish me luck.
