ELI5: How do people always seem to know when they’re being stared at? (by Sparky)

ELI5: How do people always seem to know when they’re being stared at?

It seems like whenever I look at someone for 5 seconds we come to immediate eye contact; Visa versa, I could be on my phone and look up out of no where and immediately look at the direction of the person staring at me making eye contact. Why is that?
