My brother came in from out of state today. When he comes in town, he ALWAYS has to get a pizza from a local place that started here 50 years ago....Johnny's Pizza. He lived off of it in college and can't stay away from it when he rolls into town.
Today is case in point. He got in about 4:30pm and we ordered a large pepperoni, mushroom, and jalapeno pie. It was great! He goes on about how he misses Johnny's.
Fast fwd to 8pm.....he looks at me and says..."Could you eat some more pizza?"

Another large has been put down lol. Gawd I'm STUFFED!!

Anyway, any fav local joints where you live?

Ol Johnny died this past week also at 77.

There's a small 5 location chain in my area called Horton's Pizza Plus. Love their pizza, their 5 alarm burger is off the chain, and I'm addicted to their bacon ranch fries.

@MrWalkSoftly: Tell you what. I ordered a large "Sink," basically a Supreme with pineapple and jalapeños,and an order of bacon ranch fries for supper last night. Ate half the pie and all the fries. Got up at noon and finished the pie then ordered the 5 alarm for supper.

Johnny's has a Sweep the Kitchen which is everything imaginable on the pie... plus, certain time of the year, they have Sweep the Swamp (ode to being in LA) with all kinds of veggies along with crawfish, shrimp, and crab meat.

Seriously, would love to try the bacon ranch fries....

We have a local bbq place that's ranked top 5 in Tennessee. They are delicious. (Scotts Bbq) However, i prefer Backyard Bbq in the next town, they have an awesome pulled pork baked potato.

i could go for either right now. Bacon cheese fries with ranch is one of my favs
